The Beautiful and the Damned......

This Side of Paradise by F Scott Fitzgerald.....the font is Park Lane NF
When I saw the first results of our shoot with London-based French photographer Mark Broussely I was so thrilled with them that I was far too impatient to wait for the rest before sharing them to see what you think.....
This latest collection is very much inspired by the 1920s and '30s, and so the brief for the hair and make-up was high glamour, decadent Weimar Berlin, Parisian left bank etc, etc. I think both of the extremely talented hair/make-up artists have captured the look perfectly.
I was also extremely pleased to have designer Yulia Kunze on board for this shoot; her selection of completely unique hair accessories are crafted from genuine pieces from the era....the way they sparkle under low light just can't be equalled by modern reproductions.
I was looking for an Art Deco font to use with the images, and came across so many gorgeous ones on Fontspace that I couldn't choose between them! I've used a different typeface for each image, and think they really add to the effect......and they've inspired me to call the individal designs in the collection after some of my favourite novels of the era.
Scenario; '' I'm getting married wearing 'The Beautiful and the Damned' ''  I like ♥

I'd love to know your favourite novels from the era....I've gone for the more glamourous numbers, as I didn't think John Steinbeck or Upton Sinclair would quite suit the mood ☺....
