'Mitsou'; feathers and silk satin, a deliciously tactile marriage....

The 'Mitsou' stole/ capelet/wrap, whatever you want to call it, is a wonderfully versatile finishing touch to a wedding gown. It's a little something to slip around your shoulders for the journey to meet your beloved.....but I warn you it feels so delicious against the skin that you will not want to take it off!

Luxurious 4-ply ostrich feather fringing is combined with 100% silk crepe-back satin to create this little piece of silver screen glamour, which can be worn in a number of ways. Long silk satin ties can be left loose and flowing, or tied in a soft unstructured bow.

'Mitsou' is made-to-order, so can be made in a range of shades, from the palest of pastels to jewel brights to dark and sultry evening wear tones.

I'm sure some of you will recognise this beautiful lady....it's none other than Annabel, of reknowned wedding blog 'Love My Dress'. I was honoured to design her a dress for the Shoreditch launch party (which was fabulous btw!) of her 'Style Me Vintage; Weddings' book. Of course, I couldn't resist adding a new version of 'Mitsou' in midnight blue, sprinkled with teeny-tiny Swarovski crystals amongst the feathery fronds....and I christened this variation 'Starry, Starry Night' as an homage to the evening's celebrations.

And if anyone is curious about the name, 'Mitsou' is named after the eponymous heroine of a novella by Colette.....a coquette and Montmatre music-hall dancer from pre Great War Paris....

**Mitsou is also available via our stockists Primrose and Finch in New Zealand, and Mlle C in Belgium**
