I love it when a client comes into the studio looking for something utterly different for her wedding dress, and Amy was just such a girl!

This bespoke design used a divine Art-Nouveau inspired guipure lace over a matching silk dupion in glorious chartreuse. Such a strong colour demanded an equally bold shape, and this design's fitted bodice with panniered skirt created the perfect silhouette to both display the full beauty of the fabric, and to complement Amy's strikingly elegant height (over 6ft) and slender frame.

I was particularly taken with the way the light playing on the sheen of the silk through the lace created a wonderfully textured 3D effect.....
