Anna Radchenko

all images © Anna Radchenko
I always find it fascinating to see how different photographers will use and interpret my designs.... and I love this set of images by Russian photographer Anna Radchenko .....there is such an epic sweep to them.
Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be asked by performance group dreamthinkspeak to be one of the contributing collaborators on their promenade piece 'Before I Sleep', which was inspired by Chekov's 'The Cherry Orchard'. Anyone who was fortunate enough to see that haunting and enigmatic work will, I think, recognise a similar sense of melancholy and foreboding threading through this set of images....
Anna is based in Moscow, but is currently studying in the UK. If you understand Russian, then you can follow her Russian blog, and if you don't, still take a look at the pictures!
These images were shot, not on the Russian steppe, but just outside Bournemouth......
The designs 'Bethania' and 'Belladonna' were used
