The Lady of Moat View I by Luke Woodford |
You may already be aware of the work of photographer Luke Woodford, and in particular his 'Abandoned Fashion' series, but if not, then feast your eyes on these three gorgeous images......from a new set he's created as the 6th instalment of the aforementioned 'Abandoned Fashion' project.
Luke has already used a couple of JFD pieces for the 5th instalment, 'The Devil's Prophecy', but as he has not previously used the same designer twice for the series I was extremely gratified when he contacted me to request further designs to use in this wonderful new location he had scouted.
Here's what he said in his description of the image above;
'During the series I'm not going to make a habit of repeating designers, but I just had to use the wonderful Joanne Fleming again for this, the location was just perfect for her garments and I'm very happy I made the decision to use her!'
(cue a warm glow of pride)
The icing on the cake was that this particular image was awarded PhotoVogue's 'Photograph of the Day' on the Vogue Italia site.....for those of you that don't know, this is an extraordinairy accolade, as PhotoVogue displays only the finest images submitted by photographers from all over the world and as you can imagine, the standard is Himalayan!
Here are the second and third images from the set, more dream-like pictures set in the same abandoned building.....more to follow!

I really would urge you to go over and 'like' Luke's Facebook page....it's where he first releases his new work, and there is always quite a stir when a new piece is anticipated....
Of course, as Luke himself says, he couldn't produce these stunning images without his long-term collaborator, hair and make-up artist Rosie Lee, who is not only a talented creative, but obviously an intrepid adventurer, as it is no picnic accessing and working in these decaying and often dangerous buildings. The same can be said for the ethereally beautiful model in these photos, Tabby Richards.
A word about the designs used in these three shots;
In the first, a sage green silk crepe-back satin design with laser cut petals is worn with a silk-velvet fitted peplum jacket with ostrich feather collar and cuffs, and the second shows a low-backed lace slip dress with appliqued embroidered flowers and matching shawl. The third piece is a halter neck tea-length style in an intricately appliqued lace, worn with a silk tulle and feather-accented shrug.
